OLPS is a community-centered organization working to combat HIV&AIDS and its devastating effects, especially on women and children. Founded in 1992 as a community-based organization with a narrow mandate of offering basic home-based care to people infected by HIV&AIDS, the organization has evolved over the last two decades and currently implements a multi-faceted strategy ranging from care and treatment of HIV&AIDS to dealing with the social impacts of the pandemic.

Empowering the disadvantaged members of communities in Kenya to take care of their social and economic needs by providing care and support to persons infected and affected with HIV and AIDS and other crosscutting issues such as poverty through community participation in partnership and collaboration with like-minded organizations
