Dr. Charles Okal

Dr. Charles Okal is a seasoned medical practitioner with over 30 years of service in Kenya’s Ministry of Health. As Vice Chairperson of the OLPS Board of Directors, he offers unmatched expertise in public health and infectious disease management. 

His deep understanding of clinical systems, community health, and government policy has been central to shaping OLPS’s health programs and enhancing collaboration with key government stakeholders.

Dr. Okal has significantly contributed to aligning OLPS’s health interventions with the General Heath, TB, and HIV/AIDS priorities, improving the management of opportunistic infections, and ensuring that OLPS remains a credible, evidence-based partner in the fight against HIV.
